2KV 1925 Bronxville, New York

2KV who was Walter Alfred Remy of Bronxville, NY.
Walter was born on April 12th, 1904 and was involved with amateur radio as early as age 12.
He was a founding member and eventually President of the Bronxville Radio Club.
The club was founded in 1916 as the Armour Villa Radio Association and then changed it's name to the Bronxville Radio Club and had the call sign 2AIH.
Walter graduated from Yonkers High School in 1920 and immediately entered Columbia University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1924.
He would remain at Columbia University for a post-graduate course in electrical engineering.
During this time he was employed by DeForest Laboratories and was an engineer for the Radio Corporation of America.
In late March of 1926 he came down with pneumonia and unfortunately died from it on April 2nd, 1926 at age 21.
I am pretty sure Walter would have been a pioneer in our great hobby if it wasn't for his untimely death.
