Operator: Rudolph Stephen Lapp of Leroy, NY. He would later become W8BCG.
He graduated from Leroy High School in 1923 and Purdue University in 1928 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
His father, John Stephen Lapp, founded the Lapp Insulator Company In Leroy In 1916.
Rudolph used his interest in radio to guide his fathers company into some very advanced work in this field.
