8AFB 1921 Mansfield, Ohio
Operator: Kenneth Bloor Kemble,
son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Kemble, Carpenter Road, died Sunday
afternoon at 4:45 o'clock following an illness of two weeks with
an attack of pneumonia.
Kenneth was a sophomore in the Ashland College, and the day
following his 20th birthday, he was stricken with the
disease. He was brought to his home and everything possible to
sustain life was done for him. However, double pneumonia
developed and he gradually grew worse until death resulted.
He was a graduate of Mansfield High School class of 1921, and
during his young life was greatly interested in the operation of
radio.
His first set up was at the age of 13, but the world war
broke out ten days after he had it in operation, causing a
suspension.
Kenneth was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church,
becoming such under the pastorate of Dr. T. W. Gross,
and since entering Ashland College he gained aspirations
toward entering the ministry, which death has interrupted.
Kenneth Bloor Kemble, 8AFB, died while he was a college student, Silent Key (December 19, 1902 December 30, 1923).
