Herbert L. Gordon held several callsigns between 1921 and 1941: 8BAS, 8JB (c.1926), W8CWC (c. 1929), and W9UBE (Jefferson City, MO, 1931-1941).
He was interested in photography and won awards given by Camera Craft magazine.
He was associated with his father in the hardware business in Antwerp, Ohio, later operating an automobile agency.

He was born in 1904 and became a Silent Key in 1958.
