W8GR - ex 8DPG and 8GEB.  Eli's first two way QSO was in 1926. His occupation was realtor and insurer. As a farm boy he sailed the Great Lakes as able bodied seaman. He was a 1940 Graduate of Ohio University in Athens, OH. Total Army service 44 months, 28 of these overseas. He was president of the Conneaut Radio Club.
