W8SIM 1938 Alliance, Ohio

So happy MSGR Father Alfred Manning 1877-1954 of St. Josephs Parish (pictured below) Alliance, Ohio avoided the issue of the dreaded call sign suffix “SIN”.
He was registered both WW1 and WWII and had roots in Cleveland. Alliance has had a long list of pioneer VIP hams. One of which was my Elmer in the 50's W8FBM Hoiermann.
