James was born to Charles Dolvin and Gladys (Miller) Dolvin, in Ohio. He graduated from Hubbard High School and earned his BS in Electrical Engineering at Youngstown State University. James served in the US Army and was discharged with the rank of Sergeant. He made his home in Odessa, FL where he owned and operated AAA Lock and Key for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Bill W8VYZ, John KC8LII and Glenn. He is survived by his brother Kurt of the Phillipines and sisters in law Sylvia Dolvin of Ashtabula OH, Hessina Alli Dolvin of Hermitage PA., and Melody Dolvin of the Phillipines, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Also mourned by his companion Toni Jane Greif and good friends and neighbors Trish and Jim Turauckas and family.
