In the March 2018 issue of Electric Radio Magazine, Bill Fizette W2DGB related the story of visiting the station of Carl Braun W7HRV in Portland, OR.

Carl purchased the decommissioned battleship USS Oregon's radio room and moved it to his back yard where it still exists today. Its callsign NMZ is on the door.
