This operator was Walter Bradley "Brad" Martin of 1927 North Twentieth Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
For many years ARRL Atlantic Division Director, and a Naval Reserve Captain who was Admiral Halsey's communications officer in the South Pacific.
He later became W3QV, who was the operator of XU1YV in China.
