K3VOX Lehighton, PA

Lee O'Brian, Sr., K3VOX, ex-W3YBI, became interested in radio during the early 1920's.
His son, Lee O'Brian, Jr. may have been licensed as W8CJX.
Lee Jr. enlisted in the U.S. Army June 5, 1941.

There was a gap of about 30 years between being active as W3YBI and becoming interested in amateur radio again. Around 1964 he was licensed with the neat call sign K3VOX.
He was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Highway Department after 10 years. Prior to that he worked 34 years as a trainman and conductor for the Lehigh Valley Railroad.

He was born December 12, 1892 and became a Silent Key July 1967.

Current holder of K3VOX is Lee Wishard in Sebring, FL.
I had personally met Lee Sr. in 1966, a year before he died.
Since Lee Sr. received the K3VOX call around 1964 he may not have been the original K3VOX.
I would really like to know the history of the call K3VOX.
