Operator: Frederic Ballard "Doc" Westervelt of Pittsburg, PA.
He held/assisted with multiple call signs over the years starting with 8ATD in 1915, 8VE in 1919, 3AVG Yeates School in 1921, 8ZD in 1923, 8ZAH in 1924, W8VE, W1DOC Fort Adams, RI in 1932, W3CZO in 1935, W6QYI Schofield Barracks, Territory Hawaii 1940 & KR6AA Okinawa in 1954.
I also found a possible reference to him being 3MY & 8PR but was not able to confirm those 100%. 
He was born July 31st, 1902 in Pittsuburgh, PA and attended the Shadyside Academy then attended the University of Pittsburgh, graduating in 1925 then receiving his medical degree from Pitt in 1930.
He was a surgeon of the 10th Army in Okinawa during WWII and later became a Colonel.
He was named Head Surgeon of the U.S. Army Hospital at Fort Belvoir in Virginia in 1951. He died on July 3rd, 1987 in Charlottesville, VA.
