W5FY 1932 Cuero, Texas

Mr. Hotz kept his full name private. In the callbooks I visited he was listed as "Fro" Hotz.
Reuss Frobese Hotz, W5FY was born April 15, 1915 and became a Silent Key May 15, 1972.

The group photo was taken during the time he was deeply involved with Air Force MARS around the early-to-mid 1950s, and my Dad is the guy smoking a pipe.

His transmitter was a 47 xtal oscillator, 46 doubler, and 10s final with 800 volts on 7266 kc.
