W5GAA 1939 Temple, Texas
Frank Hill Bouldin, Jr. held the
same callsign--W5GAA--during his years on the air.
The design of the QSL was his own. He signed the card with a
tiny "w5gaa" at the lower right corner of the cartoon.
Lt. Bouldin, later Capt. Bouldin, was a fighter pilot during
World War II. His cadet pilot training was at Pacific Training
School, Gibbs Field, Ft. Stockton, Texas.

Fighter Group, whose task was to support bombers during missions
over Europe.
He first flew a P-47D named "Miss Mary Marie," then a
P-51D named "Dallas Doll," which was named after Miss
Christine Crisp of Dallas.
He flew thirty missions and completed his tour in January 1945.
He was born September 13, 1920 and became a Silent Key August 8, 1990. He was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
