W8BOW 1933 Wheeling, West Virginia

William W. McLain W8BOW of Wheeling, WV designed and printed his own QSL card. Before WWII Mr. McLain was a radio engineer for the West Virginia State Police. Unfortunately we lost Bill, a WWII Pacific casualty, he earned the rank of Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy reserve. His was listed as killed in action and missing 17 February 1944. He is honored at the Hawaii National memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
