5JC 1925 Wales
5JC was Ivor James Morris born
in 1882 and died in 1961. He never seems to have left the Island
of Anglesey. There is a listing of him as G5JC and this must have
been prior to 1937 when the RSGB gave permission for Welsh
amateurs to use the GW prefix. He ran a draper's shop in the
village of Cemais right on the northern coast of the island. It
is not clear when he gave up his license but he does not feature
in my 1953 RSGB Callbook.
