NY1AD 1939 Canal Zone

LCDR Francis Emil "Fritz" Horobetz, U.S. Navy, was first active while stationed in the Canal Zone with the call signs NY1AD and KZ5NC.
He was later active as MI3NC. Before being promoted to an officer grade he was a Chief Radioman.
He was born December 11, 1911 in Missouri. He became a Silent Key June 10, 1974 in California. He was buried in the Memphis National Cemetery.
