Lary Eichel, WA2HSP, now K2NA
First licensed in 1959 as novice WV2HSP in Southern New Jersey, then to Extra Class WA2HSP until the 1970s, when he became K2NA. Lary joined the Navy in 1963 and was active whenever local regulations permitted. He was active from Okinawa as KR6EL and also operated from club station KR6AF. He operated from Adak, Alaska as WA2HSP/KL7 and also during several contests as KL7AIZ. In 1978-1980 he was in Misawa, Japan signing KA8NA. Returning to the States and duty in Washington, DC he operated K2NA from his home in Northern Virginia. Lary retired from the Navy in 1987 and worked in the aerospace industry. His permanent home is in Colorado.
