Operator Capt. Richard Ovid Seaman, U.S.A.F. a veteran of World War II, Silent Key  (1918 -1957)
Richard died in the crash, due to poor weather, of a TB-29 Superfortress assigned to the 5040th RADAR Evaluation Squadron based at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska.
The bomber crashed into a glacier, now unofficially known as
Bomber Glacier, in the Talkeetna Mountains, just northeast of Hatcher Pass.
Out of a crew of 10, 6 died and 4 survived.
