W4BPD Gus Browning 1968 Photo

Famous and very happy DXpeditioner Gus Browning W4BPD hosted himself on the cover of his DX Magazine.

The caption to this photo read; "Ack and I hope to put many more dots on this map before we finish this one! "Get ready" fellows - - 6 bands on this one - CW & SSB fair to both modes. A HAPPY DXPEDITION for all. Ger ur antennas up now B4 the WX gets cold - - - -

I'm not sure where he could have been refering to. He is pointing on the map to the Bay of Bengal area; possibly Andaman Islands, Bangledesh, Burma... My records show that before 1968, his last DXpedition was January 1966 to 4M5A Venezuela, 1966 MP4MAI Muscat & Oman. He did go out in February 1969 to 6W/W4BPD Senegal Republic, ZD3A Gambia, and several Indian Ocean spots. K8CX
